reviewed and assessed technical appropriateness, adequacy, and effectiveness of
the risk communication response by media during the 2009 influenza pandemic and
the 2013 influenza outbreak in India. Additionally, the risk communication
operation structures in India were assessed, and key stakeholders were
identified who can influence public perception in the event of a public health
threat or emergency.
